About seven years ago I was rollerblading back home from the beach. To do so I had to go up and down a bridge that passes over the intercostals linking the mainland to the beach. On my way down and as I was gaining speed a little pebble made its way between the wheels of my rollerblades and I landed face first on the pavement scraping and bruising my forehead, nose, upper lip, both shoulders, both knees, and breaking three of my upper front teeth. The paramedics that came to my aid said I looked like a hillbilly. Strangely and even though the palms of my hands received the first impact I found what looked like a small version of a crater on top of my right hand, it was about the size of a finger print. It happened so fast I have no idea how it got there my hands I was 21 at the time, I'm now twenty-eight and aside from one fake tooth and the one on my knee, this is the only scar that remains.
