I got the scar on my knee when I was 11. I was organizing my baseball card collection in a binder when I fell forward and scraped my knee along one of the open prongs that open and close the binder. I saw purple stuff start to rush to the surface but I held it closed with my fingers for about twenty minutes before I put a bandage on it. I probably could have avoided this scar if I had gone to the hospital to get stitches, but being afraid of needles at that point I didn't tell anyone about it for about a week. The scar is not nearly as big as it used to be when I first got and I hope it gets smaller in time.
