This scar is a picture of my father's hip. A few years ago the bones in both of his hips started to deteriorate. He then was required to have a hip replacement. He had the surgeries about 2 years apart from each other. He has a large scar on both hips where the new titanium hips were placed. The scar that he has will be reopened in about 5 year when they have to replace the titanium.
