"This is a scene from Dumbo. Dumbo's mother has been locked in the "mad elephant" cage because she tries to protect him when he's been made fun of for his big ears (this after being the last to get a baby from the stork). The mouse Timothy helps Dumbo find his mother, and though they can't see each other she reaches her trunk through the bars of the cage and touches his face then cradles him."
