When I die, my body will be cremated. It doesn't matter where my ashes are scattered. I know my family will find someplace beautiful. I want my service to take place outdoors, in the early evening hours.
I'd like "A Place In The Sun" by Stevie Wonder to be played before reciting the Kaddish. There should be lots of fresh flowers and comfortable places to sit. Share stories, cry, drink wine, and eat good food. It may be cheesy, but end the service with a quote from William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet".
"And when he shall die
Take him and cut him out into little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun."
Hug everyone. Remember me. I love you.
