I want to be cremated as soon as possible. Instead of laying my body out at the funeral, I would like my friends and family to bring their favorite photograph of me with them. This solves a couple of problems:
1) Everyone is allowed to remember me the way they like to instead of how I looked when I died.
2) Everyone can concentrate on good times we had by recalling when and where the photograph was taken.
3) Everyone has something funny to talk about, especially since I always look goofy in pictures.
I want two ceremonies, one in Hartford, Wisconsin, near the old St. Patrick's Church where I was raised and played with no shoes during springs and summers, and one in Madrid, Spain, near Guzman el Bueno #5 in Arguelles, where I fell in love for the first time. I'd like everyone to eat angel food cake and play charades or touch football. I want them to listen to songs by Johnny Cash.
I want my ashes divided amongst my friends and relatives. Each of them is to spread the ashes in a place special to both them and me. That way, I can be everywhere I loved and everywhere they love at the same time.
