My body will be donated to science, and afterwards, my remains will be cremated. Seal my remains in a biodegradable earth-friendly container. Get everyone to sign it, kind of like a yearbook. Throw a good-bye party in my backyard . Serve my favorites: beer, hard-shell crabs, corn on the cob, and greens. Everything but the beer and greens should be generously dusted with Old Bay seasoning and drowning in butter. I want you all to feel your lips tingling. Bring a change of clothes or a large bib - it gets delightfully messy. Eat until you're ready to burst. Dance to good music. I live to the fullest and I want you to feel how I feel nearly every day.
To my kids: take the container of my ashes and take a trip to the land of my birth: Alaska.
Go to the place of my first memory: Eklutna, and bury me in a nice spot among the Russian Orthodox graves. Plant some forget-me-nots and set a marker that says simply: So it goes. Take lots of photos. It's beautiful there.
Try to visit Denali. That's where my father will be.
Afterwards, go have a great dinner and drink delicious wine. Remember to always take care of yourselves and those that matter to you.
That is all. :)
