Me: actually i don't want anything anymore. i put so much energy into wanting you to call, in hoping and pleading and waiting and needing that ive compressed you into a single syllable from across the telephone wire. that just the fact that you called and said that one syllable is enough. there is nothing more i need from you.
A: oh
