This is a scar that reminds me of my first real relationship, let me preface this by saying that I am a klutz...

It all started after dinner at this wonderful restaurant in Seattle.

We were still in the beginning of our relationship and had gone to dinner with another couple.   We were all dressed up, the boys wore ties, the girls wore skirts.

The four of us decided to get a couple bottles of wine and go home and hang out afterward.

On the way up to the apartment my boyfriend dropped one of the bottles and it shattered.  The guys decided to run to the store to buy another bottle while we went upstairs and relaxed.  They were  trying to be  gentlemen!

We got into the elevator and realized we didn't have the keys to the apartment and knew that we might be able to catch them at the parking garage entrance so we ran.

Unfortunately I was carrying the other bottle of wine and in our hurry I tripped.  The sidewalk was split by a large column and on one side it sloped up and the other there was a step.  Apparently I am not the only one who's tripped over this step- it's not well marked.  Needless to say I fell on top of the other bottle of wine and it had also shattered.

I should have gone to the doctor to get stiches, but I didn't think it was that bad, and was being stubborn- I didn't want to ruin our evening.
