Me: Oh? Why's that?
MF: Well, obviously I hate Bush, but I'm not sure about Kerry.
Me: Hm, what specifically aren't you sure about?
MF: I'm not sure exactly. He just rubs me the wrong way.
Me: Oh. Nothing in particular?
MF: No, not really.
Me:ÊHis politics?
MF: I'm sort of distrusting of Democrats in general after Clinton.
Me: ...Uh...Distrusting...of their politics?
MF: Well, I don't think you can trust someone who would do that sort of a thing in their private life.
Me: That was his private life. It had nothing to do with his political life.
MF: Well, if someone's willing to do that in his private life, what will he do in his political life?
Me: Be one of the best presidents we've had?
MF: Yeah right. He was a horrible president.
Me: Oh? I suppose you're right. Surpluses really suck. Damn those surpluses. Oh, and that peace we had? Yeah, that sucked, too. Gosh, I hated not being at war. That booming economy we had, EW!!!! I hate great economies.ÊYou're right. We shouldn't trust Democrats. Just look at Clinton's presidency. You're so right, wow. I was so wrong.
MF: ...Well I just don't trust John Kerry.
Me: Yeah, okay. Whatever.
